Family Traditions I luv - Report Card Cake

Ever since I can remember my mom would make a cake on report card day -- crazy since she was a teacher...but now I'm doing it. ;o)  When we got home from school we would look over our report card with her and eat a piece of cake.  If there was a need to talk about a grade we would or we would celebrate - sometimes both.  It was a special time and I hate to say I haven't been as good with doing it as my mom was ... but I try to at least once a year.

Here my daughter is several years ago -- as you can tell I bought a cake that time instead of making one. :o)  Just another way to share a special tradition and let my mom's legacy live on.
