"Don't cry because it's over ; smile because it happened" - Dr. Seuss

Ahh!  I just love Dr. Seuss - he was so talented!  What a great day we had!  Check out all our fun pictures.  It was kind of a whirlwind of a day but it was great!
One of the sweet mom's  in my class had this huge bouquet of balloons delivered to my class in honor of Dr. Seuss' bday -- so nice!  They were a perfect backdrop for pictures for our memory books. :o)
Cat in the Hat directed draw :o)
I just can't seem to have a celebration without decorating the top of or my entire door.
Of course we  had to have green eggs and ham
We did our graph but didn't get a chance to write down our observations so we will have to do that Monday.
Here we are working on our 100's chart mystery picture...I bet you can guess what it will be...
Our  first mystery reader of the day today - a student from last year...we always roll out the red carpet for our mystery readers. :o)
My son and his buddy ( an old student too )  were our next mystery reader guests.  All reading Dr. Seuss books of course.  They read Horton Hears a Who.
My sweet son :o)
We had a great day --- I was happy with how many kids tried ( and liked ) the eggs and asked for seconds even.  BTW the reading buddies and my class enjoyed the pinterest snack I made too.   I definitely need to do that each year as well.  I hope your day was as Seuss-tastic as ours was !!!

Hadar - I know right?!?! There are so many great things to do with Dr. Seuss that we can't possibly get to all of them. :o) There's always next year. Have a great weekend and thanks for popping in.

I love it! I'm super jealous. We spent the day practicing for our writing test that is coming up on Tuesday. I did dress up, and we made posters, but that's it. Sad times. You looked great! :)
